Description:
Apart from graphic design, my life’s biggest passion belongs to music; and this CD is my biggest achievement since I started playing. 6 months in the making, from recording, mixing, and mastering, my band did everything ourselves. I mixed 2 of the tracks and did the mastering on all of them. The package was designed with many practical concerns in mind – to save cost and to keep it simple so every member can hand-package each copy easily. Also, the idea behind the design is to show a number of characteristics of the band – 5 members, all having very different influences and directions. The final visual on the cover was thus inspired by the physics phenomenon ‘Brownian motion’. Also with us not being virtuoso players, we tend to experiment with form and song structures – the reason why I challenged the way in which a jewel case can be packaged.
